Tell Me Why You Love Me (TMWYLM) Page 16

I looked a way with some embarrassment on my face and I saw Kyle's left eyebrow raise. "Really? I haven't heard that song for a long time!" He announced, as he made himself a cup of coffee. He cleared his throat and began to sing.

"Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do. I'm half crazy all for the love of you!"

I couldn't help but laugh a little at how tone-deaf his voice was and I saw Jordan slap his hand on his face. "Please, god, make him stop before my ears bleed!" He mumbled. That comment made me giggle a little bit more and Kyle started singing the entire song as he made himself some toast. Somehow, I knew he was doing it just to piss off Jordan.

Jordan cupped his hands over his ears and slammed his head on the table. "This. Is. Torture!" He grunted with every word. The other boys found Kyle's performance quite amusing. I found it amusing that Jordan was getting so pissed off!

"Aw, come on! Like you could do better!" I teased him, drying my hands and making my way to Jordan's side and sitting on the edge of the table.

He looked at me through one of his deep emerald eyes and gave me that wry smile of his. "Wanna bet?" He asked me.

My eyes widened. What, now he can sing?

I heard laughter from behind me and Joe and Josh were in a fit of giggles. "Are you kidding me!? Jordan, you are as tone-deaf as it comes!" They stated simultaneously.

I looked to Jordan who was giving the twins a menacing glare, but it didn't seem to faze them from ceasing laughter.

"Alright, kids. I've got to go." I heard Kyle stop his painful singing and he drank the remainder of his coffee, setting it beside Craig and ruffling up his hair. "Stay out of trouble. And be careful with that head injury of yours, Freesia." He added before leaving the house.

I rolled my eyes at his comment as he closed the door. Idiot Kyle... I know to be careful.

"Hey." I heard Jordan's voice as he lightly slapped my arm. "Has that head injury of yours rewired your brain?" He asked me, his emerald eyes showing a slight concern.

My eyes glanced through the window and I watched Kyle drive off in his car. "No, I just... Had a change of heart. The fact he remembered that the song he and my mom danced at on their wedding was Daisy Bell tells me he still has a piece of my mom in his heart... It made me happy to hear that." I smiled to Jordan who seemed to smile back.

There was silence between the two of us for a while, until I slid off the table and caught the attention of the three boys play fighting. "Hey, anybody want to have a morning game of baseball?" I asked them and they all stopped what they were doing.

"Hey, I thought you were taking it easy, brat." Jordan retorted from behind me, grabbing me by the wrist.

I gave him a teasing look. "Worried about me, Jordan Michaelis?" I asked him, a smirk on my lips before laughing and shaking my head, feeling his grip on my wrist tighten a little. "Don't worry, I never said I wanted to play. I'll just watch! Besides, I think it would be best for these three to run off some energy." I indicated to Craig and the twins who continued fighting amongst one another about who was pitching first.

Jordan didn't argue. Instead, he released my wrist and slid his hand into mine. "Well, I'm staying with you. Can't take any chances of you being hit on the head." He gently tapped his fist against my head, pushing it slightly.

I wasn't entirely unexpecting that. I had a feeling in my gut that he would do something, but I never knew what. I turned to see the boys and I smiled. "Hey, you coming?" I asked them.

When they all stopped fighting, they shot out of the kitchen and outside to the hill, leaving me and Jordan behind. It wasn't all that bad, though.

I felt Jordan's fingers coil around mine and I looked towards him seeing that gentle smile in his eyes. "And for the record, that Omelette of yours... Wasn't all that bad." He told me.

"What, just 'wasn't all that bad'?" I asked him, scoffing a little as we made our way out the kitchen. “I’ve been told that it’s just like my mom’s. She did teach me, after all.” I added.

He laughed a little, drawing a delicate circle on the back of my hand with his thumb. "You should make them again, sometime." He whispered to me. "But next time, only for me." He added, tightening his grip on my hand.

Yeah, not thinking about Jordan and his sexual harassment is going to be tougher than I thought...

  Chapter 20

"Put this on." I heard Jordan's voice as he threw the hoodie he was wearing on to my lap.

I gave him a quick look, before throwing it back in his face. "I'm fine, I can handle being a little cold. I'm not one of those weak girls."

He gave me a serious look and scowled. "Brat, you're shivering. Just put it on."

"I can go in the house and get one of mine." I stood up from my seat, but was pulled back down by my wrist.

"Why are you being so uncooperative? Just put it on, dammit!" Jordan snapped a me, throwing the hoodie at my chest.

I pouted a little and considered kicking him, but I decided against it. "You're the idiot..." I mumbled to myself, reluctantly sliding the hoodie on.

"What was that?" He asked me as I settled into his hoodie.

I looked away from him, a pout still on my face. "Nothing..." I mumbled again, this time clear enough for him to hear.

He's an idiot. I could have gone in to get my own hoodie. That way, he wouldn't have to be cold on my account... Stupid jerk.

I gave him a quick glance and noticed him shivering a little. Okay, now I feel bad for taking his damn hoodie! He's so inconsiderate! I looked to see his hand, closest to me, resting on the grass and I sighed, unsure if what I was thinking would help in any way.

Aw, screw it if it doesn't work, I'll do it anyway! I shuffled myself closer to him and took his hand in mine, noticing almost immediately the difference in our temperatures. "You're cold..." I mumbled into Jordan's hoodie and watching the twins chasing each other around the hill and Craig tagging along. The baseball game between the three ended a short while ago, when the twins began arguing whether Joe got a foul ball or not.

I felt Jordan hold on to my hand and glanced to see a small smile on his face. "I can handle being a little cold. I'm not one of those weak guys." He stated, looking at me with his wry smile.

"Jerk, you're shivering." I replied, knowing his game.

He leaned in to me, his face a few inches from mine. "You worried about me?" He asked, those alluring green eyes and that teasing smile captivating me.

I didn't let him win and I grinned. "And if I am?" I asked, tightening my hold on his hand.

"Then I guess I'll have to ease your worry." Jordan whispered as he let go of my hand and took his hoodie off over my head.

"Hey! What the hell are you doing!?" I protested as I felt the chill hit me.

He ignored my voice and put his hoodie back on before grabbing me by my waist and setting me between his legs. "There. Happy now?" He asked me, gently wrapping his arms around my neck, and his legs around mine.

When he set his chin on my head, I couldn't help but have a blush grow on my face and my entire body felt like it was overheating. The damn jerk is harassing me again!

"What... Are you doing?" I asked blankly as I was wrapped in Jordan like a Tortilla.

He lowered his head onto my shoulder, his lips near the nape of my neck. "Keeping both of us worriless." He stated, his warm breath heating up my bare skin.

What, was I really worrying him that much? As much as he was worrying me?

I narrowed my eyes and lowered my head, resting my chin on his arms. I really am oblivious, aren't I?

"Freesia! They won't stop fighting!" I heard Craig call to me, running our way. He slowed down to almost a stop when he noticed something.

I sort of knew what he was thinking. Jordan still had me wrapped like a Tortilla. I was about to try and squirm out, but something stopped me.

I realised Jordan's breathing was slow and heavy. And his grip on me had weakened a little. I looked to my shoulder where he had his head and saw his eyes were closed.

A smile crept on my face and I looked to Craig, placing a finger to my lips. "Sorry, Craig. I can't really help right now. The jerk's out like a light." I told him as quiet as I could but still have Craig hear me.

It didn't take long for the young boy to understand and he returned to the twins, trying to break them up himself. At times, he acted really mature for his age. It made me feel a little proud of him.

Suddenly, I felt Jordan's weight push down on me and I released some air from my lungs in surprise. My eyes narrowed when I noticed he was sliding backwards, so I leaned forward slightly, taking some of his gravity. "Dammit, jerk... You're really heavy, you know that?" I whispered to him and saw him stir a little in his sleep.

Now that I think about it, I haven't seen him when he was sleeping before. That time when we both had a fever, I caught him when he was napping, but this time he is really in a deep sleep. And he looks kinda cute...

That jet black hair of his was always in a naturally messy state. It wasn't long, but not too short, either. It seemed to be the right length to match his facial features. And his arms had some muscle to them... Not bulky muscle, but enough muscle for me to feel where his biceps end and triceps start. And his stomach was quite flat. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen his stomach since the first day I came here when he had nothing but his boxers on. Not that I want to see those stomach muscles of his...

I could feel his heart beat resonating through my back, and his chest rising then falling.

"He told me to not tell you this, but..." I looked up to see Craig in front of me. He kneeled on the grass and nodded to Jordan. "He ended up staying awake most of the night watching you. I fell asleep at about 11 at night and he was still awake at that time... I don't know when he decided to head back to his room, but it must have been late for him to fall asleep now." Craig explained to me.

I was shocked to hear that Jordan even did that for me. "You idiot, Jordan... Why did you do that?" I asked him in a whisper, knowing I wouldn't get an answer.

"He worries about you a lot, y'know." I heard Josh as he made his way towards us, taking a seat beside Craig. "After you drifted off to sleep yesterday, he seemed constantly unsettled."

"Every minute or so, he would go over and check on you until eventually he decided to sit there stroking your hair." Joe added, joining his twin on the grass.

My eyes widened and I felt my face flush. "He was that worried?" I asked them, getting a confirmation by three nods. I turned to see Jordan's jet black hair and I smiled meekly. "You really are an idiot, aren't you? I told you I can look after myself..." I paused for a minute and then looked at the three boys in front of me. "So what are we supposed to do now?" I asked the boys who looked at me perplexed. "We can't stay out here all day; it's too cold. And I'll feel bad for waking him if we do..." I explained.

"Then we'll carry him." Josh pushed himself off the grass and on to his feet, followed by his twin and then Craig.

I looked up at the three. "But, he's a lot heavier than me, y'know." I stated to the boys, who just ignored my comment.

Joe and Josh grabbed each of Jordan's arms and hauled them over their shoulders, pulling Jordan up on his feet, whilst Craig grabbed one of his legs and raised it from the ground.

"Grab the other one, Freesia." Craig told me, indicating to Jordan's other leg.

I gazed at the scene in front of me with a blank face. They weren't serious, were they? I mean, it just looks too stupid! But, then again, I guess this is the only way for it to work, considering how heavy Jordan is compared to us. Sure, the twins were reasonably strong, but so was Jordan. And he was taller than the twins by a mile.

I hesitated for a moment but then decided to help them, grabbing Jordan's leg and carrying him to the villa. The entire scenario sat awkwardly with me, but it was all we could think of... Unless we brought a trolley and set him in it and just tugged him along... Even then, the entire thing would be like something from a sit-com.

After a while of struggling, we managed to lay him on the couch and the boys just abandoned him there, away to do whatever it was they wanted to do. But I felt a little bad just leaving him there after he had fallen asleep with me in his arms after worrying about me yesterday...

Without realising it, I started playing with his jet black hair, moving strands off his face and twirling them. I felt a hand wrap around the one by my side and I looked to see Jordan's right eye half open and a smug smile on his face.

He took me by surprise when he pulled me towards him and I fell on top of his chest. He repositioned the two of us so I was at the side of him and he wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me as close as he could to his body, so I wouldn't be hanging off the edge of the couch.

"Hey!" I whispered to him in protest as I felt his head snuggle into the back of my neck and in my hair.

He moaned a little as an answer before giving me one in English. "You're not escaping that easily, brat. I need you as my pillow..." He mumbled, obviously half asleep. "Now shut up and let me sleep..." He added, before tightening his hold on my waist.

The dude was nearly squishing me! But, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't break free... To be honest, I didn't really want to.

  Chapter 21

A few days have gone by without much happening, thanks to my injury. But, now it has healed and there seems to be no sign of any frailty in my body, I am finally up to bat once again.

This time, my focus is entirely on the ball held in the hands of Joe. If I were to be hit by Joe's pitch, then I knew I would most likely be in a coma; the guy had a mean swing!

"Make sure you don't die, brat!" I heard Jordan yell from the sidelines and I gave him a sarcastic look.

"Thanks, jackass!" I replied to him, before getting my head back in the game.

I watched the ball carefully and knew Joe would send me a fast one. I readied my bat as Joe pulled back. No mistakes... No mistakes... I raised the bat, ready for him to lunge it towards me.

"Jordan! Melanie's at the door!" Miriam's voice broke both mine and Joe's concentration and Joe threw the ball towards me. This time, I was able to duck out the way before it had a chance to get near me.

But damn, it was close... So much for playing it safe! Wait... Who?

I turned to see Jordan looking depressed and he reluctantly made his way back to the villa. "Okay, what's up with him? And who's Melanie?" I asked whoever was willing to answer.

"Melanie's Jordan's girlfriend!" I heard Craig sing, loud enough for Jordan to hear, obviously trying to piss him off.

"Hey! She's not my girlfriend and never fucking will be!" Jordan replied from the top of his voice.

I laughed a little at his annoyance. "Wow, he must really hate the chick." I presumed, the three boys agreeing with me.

"She's the one dad picked up one day to try and cheer Jordan up." Craig explained to me. "But it only made things worse." He added.

Hold on... The one Kyle picked up?

"I'm not going to date anybody for fuck's sake!"

"That was one time! You were down so I thought I'd try and cheer you up by finding you a lady friend!"

"Oh, I heard a bit about that..." I mumbled to myself, before looking up to Joe who was standing beside me. "What's so bad about her that Jordan seems so... Reluctant to see her?" I asked him, nudging his shoulder to grab his attention.

Joe looked at me with a grin on his face. "D'you want to see why?" He asked me, indicating to the villa. He grabbed me by my wrist and ran to the villa. "Come on!"

"Hey, hold up, Joe!" I called to him, but he didn't seem to react.

What made him think I wanted to see this Melanie girl? She's most likely one of those sleazebag Barbie doll plastics that only care about their selfish selves...

And I couldn't have been more right.

"Jordan! I've missed you!" I heard a high girl's voice as Joe and I reached the villa. I saw the girl who that annoying little voice belonged to through the glass door and I almost gagged.

  She ob
viously dyed her hair bleach blonde and had mascara as thick as her brain slapped over her eyes! Not to mention the heavy make-up on her face and those obviously fake double D breasts tucked into a bra 2 sizes too small. She didn't leave much to the imagination, either, with them practically spilling from that low-cut top. That skirt not even long enough to cover her arse wasn't helping her image in the least. And to top it all off... She was orange. Orange!

"Hey, you okay? You look like you're going to be sick." I heard Joe whisper to me.

I nodded. "Yeah, I think I already did a little bit. What the hell went through Kyle's head when he picked her up in the first place?" I asked, not sure if Joe knew the answer.

I saw him shrug. No, thought not.

"So what do you want to do? Wanna go on a date? Oh! How about to the Movies! We could go see that new one, I hear that there isn't many people wanting to see it, so it may just be the two of us! And we could do some... Unsupervised things..." She had coiled her orange arms around Jordan's neck and pressed her giant rubber cushions against his chest. Her squeaky little voice pissed me off. And what unsupervised things!? Are you off your nut, or on crack, you skank?

"Hey, Free. You look like you could kill a puppy with those eyes of yours." Joe said, backing away from me a little.

I turned to him, annoyance obviously on my face. "Look, I've hated girls like that all my life. Every single one I have come across has found a reason to bitch about me and make my life a living hell! So, yes, I could kill a puppy, and those puppy dog eyes of hers will be first on my list." I explained, letting my anger get the better of me. "I hope she disappears soon." I added, trying to control myself.

I almost froze to the spot when I saw the skank's eyes land on me. Okay, I had to get out of here, quick. Before I ended up with any more abuse like the past. I turned around, making my way back up the hill, Joe closely following behind me.

"Ew, who is that!?" I heard her squeak. That voice was closer than it was before and I turned my head a little to see she was running up to me, her bulbous breasts flying about everywhere. "Wait... Is that..."
